Schwellenbach Improves to 4-5 with an ERA of 4.06! Schwellenbach has Faced the Phillies, Mets, Cardinals, and Padres in July… and has gone 3-1, going 6 Innings at Minimum in Each Start!

    + Bullpen took care of the Rest! Jimenez and Iglesias Combine to FINISH the Final 2 Innings, Allowing 2 Hits, but Walking NONE and Striking Out 3! Not a Save Situation for Iglesias, but it FELT like One!

    ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, NO RUNS, 2 Hits, NO WALKS, 14 CONFIRMED KILLS!

    Despite a 1-6 Game with Runners in Scoring Position, the Braves Mustered 4 Runs, and it was JUST ENOUGH TO WIN!

    + THE BIG BEAR FOR MVP? 1-4 with a SOLO SUPER MISSILE to start a Chorus of Boos in the 4th! Ozuna holds firm with a .307 Average, .981 OPS, and 30 Home Runs on the Season!

    + MATTY-O FOLLOWED SUIT WITH A SOLO SUPER MISSILE OF HIS OWN IN THE 4TH! That would be his ONLY hit, as he finished 1-4 as well. Olson Clings to a .227 Average, a .700 OPS, and 14 Homers on the Year!

    + ARCIA DOIN' THE BASICS! 1-3 with an RBI Single in the 5th, along with a Walk in the 9th! Arcia holds onto a .219 Average with an OPS of .587!

    + ROSARIO WITH THE FINISHING BLOW! 1-4 with a SOLO SUPER MISSILE in the 7th After JUUUSSSSSSTTTTT Missing One FOUL in the 2nd! Rosario steps up to a .180 Average, .555 OPS, and 10 Home Runs on the Season!

    – OTHER NOTABLES: Adam Duvall was the Only Other Brave to get a Hit Today. Heck, He got Two, Going 2-4! Despite going 0-2, Sean Murphy was the Only Other Brave to get a Walk. Two, In Fact! And Kelenic, Riley, and Alvarez Jr. Combined to go 0-12 with 4 Ks.

    + BY GOD, DID THE BRAVES NEED THIS WIN, AND DID THEY FIGHT FOR IT! Schwellenbach was AMAZING, the Bullpen was GREAT, the Defense SOLID, and the Offense was SUFFICIENT. IT'S BEEN A HELLACIOUS WEEK… I PRAY THE WORST IS OVER AND DONE WITH!

    + With this Win, the Braves have Entered a TIE with the Padres for the TOP NL WILD CARD SLOT, Dropping the Mets down to the 3rd Wild Card Slot, though they are still 1/2 Game Behind Us. TOMORROW IS A CRITICAL GAME… WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE!

    THE FINAL ROUND of this Four-Game, Wild Card Showdown between the Braves and Mets will take place under the Afternoon Skies of Citi Field.

    David Peterson will get the nod for the Mets, who has YET TO LOSE a Start in the 2024 Season so far. His Last Start was against the Fish, where he allowed Just 2 Runs on 6 Hits, Walking 4 and Striking Out 4 in 5 Innings of Work, earning the Win in the process.

    Meanwhile, it will be up to REYNALDO LOPEZ to take up Battle Stations for the Braves in a CRUCIAL Rubber Game in Queens. He has been STUMBLING as of Late, Allowing 7 Runs on 18 Hits, Walking 2 and Striking Out 5 in just 12 Innings of Work against the Padres and Reds, LOSING Both Starts as a Result. His ERA has gone from 1.71 to 2.12 in the Process.

    THE SITUATION IS CRITICAL.

    Can LOPEZ and the Braves Salvage a SERIES SPLIT against a Dangerous Foe in the Mets, and Put a Tighter Grip on the TOP WILD CARD SLOT?

    Or will it be Peterson and the Mets SNATCHING the SLOT From the Braves, and putting the Tomahawk Chop in a PERILOUS SITUATION?

  19. Nice win but don't get too excited about it, inconsistency still rules the Braves, great game pitched by Schwellenbach all the same and 3 bombs from Ozuna, Olson and Eddie, much needed relief for Braves Nation, GO BRAVES!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. As a lifelong Braves fan I am just so happy that we finally snapped our 6 game losing streak and snapping the Mets 5 game winning streak! So proud of the boys today! We desperately needed that win after losing 6 in a row! I'm even more happy that we have jumped back into 2nd place in the division but I'm just hoping that the Phillies start playing shitty baseball the rest of the way and we start playing really good baseball so we can jump the Phillies in the division so we can win our 7th consecutive division title! All of us Braves fans are hoping the Phillies start going on a really long losing streak just so we can take the division lead away from them (the Phillies are never going to win the division after we take the division lead away from them and the Phillies are never going to win another World Series)! To the Phillies, you will not be winning the division this year because we are about to win our 7th consecutive division title after we jump y'all in the division! My Atlanta Braves will win their 7th consecutive division title and nobody can stop them! My Atlanta Braves will take the NL East by storm! This was a very much needed team win for us! Time to split the 4 game series tomorrow with Reynaldo on the mound and its also time to go on a really hot winning streak! We are Braves Country! #BravesCountry

  22. I have not been able to watch the Braves game all year, because I have Comcast and live in the south east. I'm still a baseball fan but feel sorry for the kids of today that don't get to watch the games and get into baseball like we all did when we were younger.
