  1. The only thing I asked for was at least one 1st, maybe a young guy, and some salary filler for Tyus

If that’s overvaluing for one of the best backup PGs in the game then so be it

  2. we should have traded him for a second midseason at the deadline. it is what it is. Hopefully Dawkins learns from this. Overall, a small mistake nothing catastrophic.

  3. The Tyus situation doesn’t bother me that much. In the end we miss out on a handful of 2nds. Sure I’d rather have something rather than nothing but I don’t fault our FO trying to finesse a first from somebody

  4. I’m totally fine with the gamble here, tried to get Tyus on a more tradeable contract instead of taking on junky salary for a couple seconds.

Tyus is the big loser in this, he needs to sign a $17M contract next year just to break even after turning down the $10M AAV offer.

As for the argument that the Wiz overvalue their assets, that is a laughable stance after the front office recently surprised everyone by getting a 1st for Gafford and two 1sts and two 2nds for Deni.

  5. No big deal.

I’m fine with some calculated risks when a bunch of seconds are the stakes.

Obviously a different story if there’s a legit pattern of not getting value for assets.
