  1. Yeah good start! Can't stop here tho! We need another start, some help in the pen, let's also find depth talent! You know, why don't we reach out to Kikuchis agent! I think he would be fine in The Boogie Down! I just hope he doesn't end up in Baltimore! Cashman needs to keep makin calls and get more done! Just Jazz will not cut the mustard!

  2. This seems a prelude to another trade. Assuming Jazz was not obtained to play centerfield, the yankees now have two 2nd basemen. They need a third baseman, preferably right-handed, and a reliever, preferably left-handed. Also, constantly trading prospects will eventually catch up on a team, especially one like the Yankees, who always have a poor draft position and less money to spend on the international market.

  3. Lifetime BA .246 (.249 thus far this year). So he's yet another Yankee who doesn't give you a good BA.

    Lifetime OBP .309 (not good)
Lifetime SLG .440. Lifetime OPS .749 (Neither stat noteworthy)
He'll hit 20+ HR, but additional HRs aren't really a Yankee need. He can steal 30 + bases which is nice.

He also strikes out a lot, and oh yes, he is injury-prone; just what the Yankees need.

Overall he has been a pretty average player, who has been something of an underachiever as he has yet to live up to his hype. But he is only 26 y.o so there is a chance he could get better.

Not really a bombshell addition and I am not sure he is better than what the Yankees already have. But as I said there is a possibility he gets better, and if you put him over at 3B he should be better than LeMathieu now is

  4. He may not be the best player out there, but I think he can contribute more than 6 of the 9 players in the current Yankees lineup who have an OPS below 700, and he provides speed, he is faster and steals more bases than volpe, who is our supposed fast man. Also the price doesn't seem like much to me.

  5. It's something, and like you said, it could be a spark. He's under contract through 2026, and that makes a smart business decision if he stays healthy. Now to dump Boone and give Beltran that chance he deserves.

  6. The Yankees are getting a big head that's for sure with inflated since of importance career .246 hitter, 309 obp, 410 slugger who's season ops+ is 101 i love this for the Yankees.
