  1. Really love this deal for the crew. The in your face stats are pretty bad (thanks Coors), but the savant page and underlying numbers are really good.

His ERA-FIP is 2nd worst in the league and it isn’t close. He should excel with the Brewers defense.

  2. A 3 run difference between his ERA and FIP is staggering. Hopefully with a little fine tuning they’ll strike gold with another reliever.

  3. Rockies saw that chart of last time they traded with certain teams and were embarrassed.

  4. Some of the reactions here remind me of the Bryan Hudson trade thread this offseason (his ERA is too high… not going to be good).

  5. Ooo, a trade, can’t wait to hear how this is a really good and a really bad deal.

  6. Can he start?

Can he go more then 5 innings?

Now I know why Arnold mentioned the World Series yesterday.

We have Mears. We’re set now. World Series here we come.

This can obviously not be the only move. 😆

  7. While other contenders are trading for legit pieces here we are trading for some absolute trash ass relievers woohoo! The Brewers way! Traded for a guy with a 7.71 ERA and now traded for a guy with a 5.56 ERA … wow I’m sure these 2 bums can really help the team!

  8. He needs to stop throwing his curve ball. Fast ball slider guy. Will be tough on eighties esp in Miller Park.
