4. Panthers have no cap crunch… they have a full roster and 700k in cap space.. they can make a trade or pick up a bargain player like last season cuz of the 2 way contracts they have which gives them about 2mill in total cap space..

8. Pretty good overview of the trade and RFA situations around a number of teams. Wondering why the Bruins traded Ullmark before knowing what Swayman was demanding. 9M seems pretty over the top. I'd put him around 7.5-8M. Maybe that's where it ends up. By trading Ullmark, they have almost zero leverage on this. Ekblad's game has slipped a little, but they have to find a way to keep him. D core has taken a couple of hits via recent departures, and they can't afford another one.

11. Don't sign Crosby trade him to the Oilers or Canucks after the all-star game. Trade Crosby, Marcus Pettersson, and Sam Poulin to the Oilers for Philip Broberg, Dylan Holloway, Matthew Savoie, Sam OReilly, and a 1st round pick. Sid can win the Cup for Canada building his legacy and fulfilling his soul. Sign Sid to the Pens on a 1 year deal next year and trade him and Geno to the Colorado Avs for Calum Ritchie, 1st round pick, etc. Turn Crosby into a Stanley Cup mercenary and rebuild the Pens in 2-3 years while 87 plays elsewhere for the Cup while simultaneously rebuilding the Pens. The Canucks have Jonathan Lekkerimaki, Tom Willander, Elias Pettersson (Dman), Aatu Raty, and Jett Woo. Trade Sid a minimum of 2 times and the team will be rebuilt. By trading Sid the team will also drop to the bottom of the league standings leading to top 5 lottery picks. 87 and Marcus Pettersson will be 50% salary retained.
