Seahawks Training Camp Coverage | Geno Shines, DK Bubble Screens, JSN And Bobo Making Plays

I went to my second training camp practice today and here some of my thoughts. The offense more won the day today with Metcalf, Bobo, and JSN all making some great plays. Geno shined and Sam Howell was a little better than the prior day. Let’s dive into what I saw.

  1. I'm asking you the same question I asked of another Seahawks content creator on Twitter: Do we overdo the whole defensive Head coach / Offensive Head coach thing? Obviously, defense is Mike's specialty, but smart head coaches need to have a good idea about the X's and O's on offense and defense. Do they get the credit for it, probably not, but I feel like we categorize them too generally. Nobody who is really involved in a given profession can afford to only understand one aspect of it. And therefore it stands to reason that the best head coaches do know both sides of the ball.

  2. Brando, I was in attendance today too! Just realized you were there as well after watching this. Ah man, can't believe I missed out on meeting you — on the bright side, I did get autographs from DK and Riq (but having a chat with you would have arguably been better haha). It was so fun getting to see the players up close and how multiple / versatile this new defense actually is. Geno's deep ball is a pretty sight and K'Von Wallace breaking on a couple throws had me really pumped; I think his uncanny athleticism makes him a sleeper in this DB room to watch out for. A bit disheartening to see some wobbly out-of-bounds throws (primarily by Howell) and a few muffed punt returns, but everyone looks in shape and ready to go. Cheers brother, hope we can connect sometime down the line. Until then, there's only one thing to say: GO HAWKS!!

  3. No. I can’t have read that right. DK bubble screens?!? You don’t know how long I’ve been waiting to see exactly that.

Get one of the biggest and strongest WRs out in space and let him wear down the DBs.
