  1. Seems like a lot compared to some of the other trades. Maybe I’m overvaluing Lesko.

  2. Didn’t realize how badly Lesko was pitching this year. Which means Tampa will fix him and he’ll win the Cy Young in 2026.

Seems like a lot to give up for a reliever

  3. God Damn it Preller

Every stinking time anyone trades with the Rays. Adam is good but bullpen arms are so expendable. He’s not worth Lesko alone and he threw 2 others in.

Is this the price of bullpen arms in 2024?

  4. Padres top prospects have not been performing well this year but damn that’s some good grabs for the Rays

  5. Feels a bit steep but it makes sense. Adam is good, cheap, and is under team control through 2026, so 2 more years after this year. Lesko has been bad this year, but obviously has a high ceiling. Homer Bush has a lot of potential though. Overall, a decent trade for both sides, Padres were in desperate need of another solid reliever

  6. California doesn’t have like pride nights or anything like that, right? So Adam will fit right in?

  7. I don’t like this trade at all. Seems like a massive overpay. Lesko has been having a bad year, but still don’t like trading multiple prospects for a reliever.

  8. Please Jed. Trade Merryweather, Leiter jr, and Miller and Neris fuck it we ball.

  9. I get he’s not a FA until 2027 but that seems super pricey for a decent reliever

  10. Another deal? There won’t be any players left to trade by the time the actual deadline rolls around.

  11. It just be weird to be traded from St Pete to San Diego. Being from St Pete but in SoCal for years, whenever I go to San Diego I always think that it’s bizarro St Pete. They both have Great seafood, sports, outdoorsy, and solid beer/brewery scene, and a coastal military presence. However San Diego is quite similar and also better in almost every way lol

Confused needed leverage reliever but feels like an overpay.
