  1. Keep this in mind as to why Poles traded for Ryan Bates, as well as Flus giving hin first team reps

  2. Jesus Nate Davis is never healthy. Flus seems chill but it’s clear this shit is starting to get old. I mean Davis first season Flus was taking him to dinners to convince him to practice. Dude is NOT good enough for his behavior. I get it. It’s hard to practice with a strain but Flus is heavily implying Davis wasn’t in shape coming into camp. How many dinners will it take to smooth this one over?

  3. This was the most obvious outcome.

Poles worst two moves have been Claypool and Davis.

  4. Davis injured and not practicing. So totally shocked. Honest. Really shocked. 😐

  5. Nate Davis doesn’t fit the description of a Bears player that both Poles and Flus share. I’ve found this to be the most perplexing of Poles’ FA signings. All indications were that Nate Davis was not a hard worker, as well as being oft-injured. If he wanted to make some changes to the OL to adequately assess Justin Fields, he should have signed someone to a one year deal.

I can’t see Davis making the team – Poles is self aware and isn’t afraid of admitting a mistake. He’ll take dead cap space to ensure that team chemistry remains high.

  6. Here we go again. The offensive line will be the reason things don’t work out if the team struggles

  7. Not every move will be a winner but stuff like this will help Poles learn and will definitely keep him on the avoid paying injury prone players track. Bates is there to fill in and the center from the rams is a major improvement over our center last season.

  8. Reddit gives this guy way too much grace

    He’s a fucking bum. Eddie Goldman 2.0

  9. I rolled my eyes about Nick Saban talking to Flus about coaching Tuesday, but the guy really is being more no nonsense now. I’m really hoping it works out and keeps that line to Saban strong.

  10. Last year he missed multiple weeks due to a death in the family. Look, I’m not going to give him a hard time for taking some time off work for bereavement but there aren’t many jobs in the world that grant multiple weeks of paid bereavement. My union job will approve three days of bereavement leave and I imagine that we’re fortunate to get even that much.

At the end of the day you’ve got to be available if you’re healthy, and if you’re persistently not healthy (which is another concern surrounding Davis) then suddenly your days in the first team are numbered.

  11. Davis & Claypool both were head scratching decisions for the type of plays Poles wants. I hope he’s learned his lesson.

  12. This fat fuck. Just in it for the bread has no love for the game trade him for a 7th

  13. Davis is solid when he plays but it seems like hes always hurt. Idk why they didnt just resign dude on the Steelers now I forgot his name. He was good and super young still.

  14. Poles really need to start taking some heat for how little he’s invested in the interior line. Even in the draft this year, we took an injured project tackle lots of good guards come in the third round or later. But more to the point his free agent signings and trades there basically all been whiffs so far

  15. TWO YEARS IN A ROWN FROM THIS B*TCH. We know how he operates. Better work someone else to be the starter for the first half of the season. No excuses.

Fine him Poles. You know what to do

  16. Flus is fired up. I watched the press conference. He is meek and over diplomatic no longer.

  17. Don’t be shocked if one if next years draft picks is Davis’ replacement and the other one is Tevin’s.

I love Tevin and had high hopes for him but even he has health concerns and I don’t think it’s smart to move forward with him as the future at that position unless he can stay healthy for all 17 games this year

  18. Eddie Goldman vibes. Guy just doesn’t want to play. Cut him and throw in Borom or Kiran at Guard. Borom is a giant blob of a lineman which is better suited for a Guard than a Tackle trying to contain fast DEs. And Kiran just because I wanna see what he can do.

This Nate Davis problem is what they get for letting James Daniels walk away after his rookie contract. He was 24 after his rookie contract too.

Davis to Bears: 3 yr: $30M….$19.5M Guaranteed…$6M Signing Bonus

Daniels to Steelers: 3 yr: $26.5M…$8.75M Guaranteed..$8.75M Signing Bonus

Davis’ $55.5M vs. Daniels’ $44M….McCaskey “logic”

  19. I’m at so out on Nate Davis. We should have listened to Coach Vrabl when he said he likes guys that practice. Davis is a con artist collecting a huge bag.

  20. I think they’re kind of stuck with Davis for the time being. It’s unlikely hell be back next year.
