  1. Many thanks to Brent Honeywell for not being a fuck up machine like the rest of the pen right now

  2. Honeywell for Closer ’24

Make Dodgers High Leverage RP Great Again

    He’s got my vote

  3. Cheaters couldn’t even sweep Shohei and the Oklahoma City Baseball Club.

  4. If you look at things objectively, we were 1 bullpen imploding multiple times in the same game away from taking the series with HALF OUR TEAM MISSING

  5. I love Shohei’s determination. You wanna walk me? I’ll just steal bases, run my behind off & still score on you. Can’t keep a good player down for long.

  6. Any Astros fans trolling/lurking in here – scroll up and take a look at the lineup your team just lost to today!

  7. That was one of the most unexpected wins of the year and, after yesterday’s events, one of the best wins of the year too. I LOVE LA.

Oh, and put some respect on Dave’s name. He had to pull River given where his pitch count was. If anything, it was pushing it to leave him in to face Yordan. In any case, what an outing by the youngster. He looks like a stud.

  8. Do I LIKE the Houston Astros? No.

But do I RESPECT the Houston Astros and their ability to consistently field competitive teams? Also no.

Great win even though I’m still salty about yesterday and it should’ve been a series win. On to SD.

  9. Highlights: Biggio, Lux and Barnesy playing out of their minds this series. Shohei with his usual HR bomb. And excellent rookie starts by Wrobleski and Ryan.

Bonus: We got a scoreless Joe Kelly inning with attitude.

  10. Last game before the trade deadline, will be very interesting to see how this team looks different on Tuesday

  11. At least we took 1. Bullpen was pretty solid today. And River Ryan gets his first major league win. Side note, he needs to stay being #77.

  12. Where were you when the Dodgers lost this game in the 6th inning according to the doomers?

  13. Hairston is again calling out Roberts. Said that the starter should’ve finished the inning again.

  14. Thank goodness we took that last game. Ryan looked amazing, Lux is really coming together, and Biggio had a solid game tbh. Also shout out to Brent Honeywell, he’s been rock solid so far for us

  15. Yeah so we should have won that series. A couple trades are still needed to keep us a float but this team is good once healthy.

  16. Biggio had more hits than Yordan in this series. Biggio went 3-12 with 3 RBIs and Yordan went 1-11 with a single.

  17. Kiersten: hey river, what’d you have for breakfast?
River: all glory to my lord and savior

  18. I wonder what happens to Honeywell when Graterol and others return. It’s a small sample size but if he keeps this up there’s no way they can cut him.

  19. Would have been a decent series if not for the bullpen collapse last night. All in all I liked what I saw from the team this weekend considering the line ups and it being at the cheater’s house.

  20. For being a couple of very weak lineups on paper, the offense absolutely did their jobs the last two games. The young starters mostly did well. Despite this series loss, there are definitely positives to take away from this. Hopefully they can keep it going because they’re jumping into another tough series, again possibly without Freddie

  21. I really have no idea how to view this team long term. We’ll see what Friedman does over the next two days.

Happy with the win. Offense showed up the last two days. River Ryan is looking as good as we all hoped and his command is still a bit shaky. Could be really special if he settles a bit

  22. River Ryan another great outing! Wish he wasn’t charged with an earned run as it sours his line a little bit.

Nonetheless Wrobleski and Ryan are keepers. They are absolute dawgs and maybe they can fix some of our pitching problems for October

Edit: Also big props to Lux. He’s continuing to hit and this Astros staff is no joke. This was his biggest test to see if he can keep it going and he passed. This stretch is becoming more and more real

  23. Shoehei Ohtani goes 0-3 with 2 Ks as the Dodgers win 6-2 on the backs of RBIs from Outman, Lux, Biggio and Heyward. Happy reverse Tungsten day to those who celebrate.

  24. living in a house full of Astros fans, thank fucking god we didn’t get swept

  25. I have no idea where they found arms like Honeywell and Banda, but I’ve been very impressed.

  26. And to think…..we sent out an injury-depleted roster (some would even say minor league-ish), and if not for yesterday’s meltdown, we would’ve taken this series. They also didn’t have to face any of our top pitchers (maybe Stone?) while we had to face Valdez and Blanco. I know they’re missing some players too, but we should’ve won 2 out of 3 here. Oh well, at least we got 1.

  27. Everyone talked about Biggio but I really appreciate Lux right now. Please don’t trade him, the man is coming back huge. His return of the Lux is not a fluke

  28. We would’ve won the series with this C lineup if it wasn’t for that disaster yesterday. It still feels good to leave that city with a win.
