  10. We need our 3rd, 4th and 5th best players to be better than Derrick white, Jrue Holiday and Al Horford, because that’s who beat us in the finals. Those three guys were better than PJ, Lively and Jones.

  11. If we are ahead then Klay doesn’t close games. Marshall does. If we are behind then we will need his floor stretching ability and scoring. Threes late will be critical down by five with less than two minutes left. Up five? We will need stops and Naji will be our best on ball defender. Thompson can’t be that guy anymore.

  15. Let’s look at it like this. Luka makes everyone around him look offensively better. In return, those around him have to make him look defensively better.

    Now that Luka has those around him that don’t need him to make them offensively better, he needs to defend better.

    Kyrie simply needs to tap into whatever made him disappear in Boston and actually address it with a therapist maybe. Boston is the team to beat, so Kyrie needs to plan accordingly.

  17. Let us not worry about the finals and the playoffs. Not until Feb.

    Go steady, tune, heal, stars play less than 35 mins, and still win games.

  26. Harsh on Dinwiddie – whatever else he is, he’s a very smart player and made the most of the space he got near Luka and Brunson in 22 playoffs…he had some massive games and will be a key piece in big games

  27. Without taking a step back, Kyrie will be the mavs 3rd best player. DLive will be 2nd best at 20/12 with 2.5 blocks while feasting on PnR and anchoring the D. (I might be getting a few years ahead of myself).

  30. I guarantee that the mavs will not make the conference finals, nor will Luka win mvp. I've seen how delusional other mavs fans can be based on how many people thought that they would beat Boston. Being a fan and being realistic can coexist.
