Fegan reported yesterday that the Sox have tried to get Jordan Walker from the Cardinals. Would be an interesting return. He struggled in the majors and is having a down year in the minors. But he’s only 22. Some of his problems seem to stem from the Cardinals trying to change the type of hitter he is to get him to hit for more power. Seems unlikely the Cardinals give up on him this soon, but hey, it’s rumor season.

Getz can’t pull off a blockbuster trade, he can’t even trade our rental players.
I would personally feel bad for Jordan Walker if this happens. Guy struggling after being rushed, trying to fix his swing, traded to CWS. Career killer.
If the Cardinals of all teams is having trouble making Jordan Walker a successful big leaguer, I shudder to think what he’d be with us.
The Cardinals are on the shortlist of teams I have as being elite at talent development.
I have zero faith in this franchise of altering a guy’s swing path
