  1. I’ve said this once, I’ll say it again. I hope Jim Crane is happy with the choices he’s made. BECAUSE I’M FUCKING NOT!!!

  2. In hindsight, I wish we would have just stood pat, tried to roll with Bloss, and then retool our pitching in the offseason.

  3. Today just felt like a complete punch in the gut. All the good vibes of beating the dodgers snatched away by our own management. I’m tired of this grandpa!

  4. Today, a random day at the end of July, tied for 1st in the AL West hoping to make a run, we sell off a starting pitcher, top prospect and decent player Joey Loperfido, and Billy Wagner #2 for 2 months of a below average starter with a nearly 5 ERA, and then because of that trade, have to run a bullpen game against the second coming of Cy Young in Skenes, somehow get him out of the game with a lead on our side just for our $100 million dollar man to shit the bed. There is no silver lining, no way we look back on today with anything but contempt and hatred in our hearts. This is the day the music died.

Edit: I made this as a reply in the GDT to someone and pasted it here with slightly more detail because holy shit today is the worst

  5. Vibes could not be worse. I’m about to go stand outside of Click’s house with a boombox and beg him to come back (I’m going to take a shit on Crane and Bagwell’s doorsteps on the way home.)

  6. Started the game by giving up prospects for a bad pitcher.

Ended the game by Pressly and Hader giving up 4 runs.

How can you not be romantic about baseball?

  7. You know what’s funny, I had tonight penciled in as a loss because I thought Skenes would just pitch too well for a bullpen game to overcome. Like a 2-1 game

But watching Pressly give up the lead and then Hader make it a three run game because he can’t hit the fucking strike zone unless it’s to give a HR up was not how I imagined this loss.

Better fucking win the next two.

  8. Dana do nothing brown

    More like Dogshit dana brown.

Gets us a bad starter while his overpaid bum ass reliever gives up a 3 run bomb to a dude barely hitting 200.

    Fire him

  9. Astros announcers still not announcing the trade and referring to it as a rumor makes me want to think that there is more to the trade and they are waiting until after the Toronto game ends. Reaching for anything lol bc as it stands it’s a terrible trade

  10. Josh Hader making 20 mil to have a 4.11 ERA, 7 losses and already triple the amount of homers given up as all of last year. Fucking unreal dude

  11. A disastrous night.

My opinion on Brown may never be the same. Resign Tuck TOMORROW.

  12. Ugh, there’s the familiar taste of dog shit from early in the season. It’s been a while, but Pressly & Hader really picked a fine time to shit the bed…against the fucking Pirates!? Astros worked hard for 6 innings against the best pitcher in baseball while somehow only allowing 1 run on a fucking bullpen day. Burning through every “high-leverage” guy they had while taking an epic L is certainly on the Astros’ 2024 bingo card. Nice job, guys

  13. Tonight fucking blew, cannot believe we ditched Loperfido, absolutely brain dead

  14. Remember when we all thought Bregman hit a 3 run homer to put us up 5-0 against Skenes…lol how stupid

  15. We missed winning the game by two inches, and missed winning the trade by two players.

  16. Is Jose Abreu or A Diaz around to pinch hit? Literally the only strong signing has been Victor Carrotman as a back up catcher.

  17. I don’t have the numbers for this, but we have to have one of the worst hits-to-runs ratio in the league. Routinely we’re getting 2-3 runs on 7+ hits.

  18. Ask The Booth tomorrow on X.

*How do you feel about Loperfido being included in the Kikuchi trade?*

  19. Resigning Unce Mike and saying he would play opening day.

Jose Abreu and his baseball cards.

Rafael Montero being paid like a closer.

Josh Hader being the most expensive closer that loses.

Getting Fleeced for a mid SP by giving up Bloss, Loperfido, AND Wagner.

    Crane and company are insane.

  20. Crane fires click for almost nothing. Meanwhile, Dana fucking up like Jerry’s kids.

  21. So does this mean we’ll get to finally see what Pedro Leon can do?
