There's no hesitation on giving max extension on both ALPY and JG. The reason is that they want to maximize the cap space for next season. They have 30m in cap space if they wait next offseason. It's like maxey and philly scenario where they signed pg for max and gave maxey his max offer after that.
Other than that, they wanted to see if JG is worth the max. Sengun is easily worth it. There's no trading them for a star package whatsoever or drama. It's all just smokescreens on the media

Quick notes: Boban also leaving. Sengun not being extended is due to CBA which allows an almost $30 cap space for next to sign a piece or 2, Jalen green doesn’t have this due to draft pick and contract. Sengun has anchored a top 10 defense last season and Udoka claimed him to be a top 3 post player and org believes he’s top 5 center.
