LIVE: Braves acquire Jorge Soler & Luke Jackson

The Braves have finally made a move – and it looks like Braves fans are getting what they asked for. World Series MVP, Jorge Soler will make his return to Atlanta as a Brave. But, he is not coming alone. Included in the trade is Luke Jackson, a reliever from the 2021 team. It’s easy to assume that the Braves are far from done with another day in front of us.   2. You expect too much. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the only trade they make. Maybe another tiny move for a depth guy or bullpen piece. One thing im certain of though is that there isn't going to be "a bunch of moves". That's also fine.
    The reality is this season isnt going to succeed or fail based on a deadline trade. For this team to have a chance Fried, Sale, Lopez and Schwellenbach have to stay healthy and Riley, Olson and Murphy need to get their crap together at the plate, Ozuna needs to keep up what he's been doing and Harris and Albies need to be healthy and swinging by October. Anything else and I don't care who they trade for, they could get Aaron Judge and it wouldn't save them.

  5. I like getting soler back. Not so sure about luke. Why focus on his 12 HR? Same issue in 2022 slumping with Royals cane to Braves and well we know .. we need another bat. And a starter. But good to wake uo to this news. We didn't give uo much. Matzek injured. Not the same anymore and a minor keaguer. So worth the shot.

  6. Rosario, Duvall, Soler….He replaces Acuna with theEXACT same 3 players he did last time. Unfortunately the only one who can still hit doesn't play a lick of outfield so….WTF

  7. Honestly, i think we should stand still. Blood some of the younger players in the latter part of the season and give them experience.

    We need the next guys coming through so we have the depth for next year.

    Whilst im not suggesting we punt on this season, i am sayjng that this isnt the season to go all on thats for certain.

Why would the braves even sign Luke Jackson he didn't do anything for the braves when he was there and then the way Alex treated Jorge Soler If i was him I would think about it long and hard before coming back I mean there's something going on with Alex to trade the MVP of the World Series, I grant this would never happen to any of the other players on this team that leads me and many others to think there's something going on with Alex.

Duval and Arcia both needs to go and bench some of these players who are not producing like they should, when certain other players go into a slump fans are quick to talk about trading them but when others go into a slump or just don't produce at all they all go into a silent mode, if you're not helping the team then you're hurting them point blank and I don't care who are.

  17. Yea i don't know about this. Why do u keep talking about pitching? Pitching has been good all year, Duval and Arcia are killing this lineup and i don't see a thing getting better with these moves. It was going to be hard to keep up with the Mets and Phillies no matter what moves they made, but now i don't see them making the playoffs

  18. And why not get into a bidding war for a game changing young exciting player. But no they have to act like a small market team and be cheap as always. It's going to cost them a playoff spot this year
