  1. Perfect deal! Gives him a chance to get a big payday in 2 years if he’s lights out and still under team control at that point

  2. Great deal – give Wolf a bit of a raise and security while still allowing enough time for him to prove himself as an NHL starter before his next, no doubt much heftier, contract.

  3. Makes sense. Hope he earns himself a big contract in 2 years. Might suck for the rebuild but I would love to see Wolf be amazing on a regular basis.

  4. Really like a signing like this. That said, our current tandem is a little spooky. I’d like to see Halak come in and be a mentor for Wolf.

  5. Good deal, although I woulda been fine if we gambled and offered him as many years as he would take for 2-3 million. Not like we need cap atm

  6. This IS great! I like where Wolf’s and Conny’s head is at this off season.

Wolf is all over Socials representing the flames all summer. Clearly he understands rebuild and prove it contracts. I love it. And Conny must have done a huge job negotiating, explaining the why and getting buy in.

This could very well be an ugly season but I think punctuated with some huge learning, developing, in house competition for roster spots. I havent looked more forward to a season in a long time. And yes, l will be saying that at every part of the season, no matter the standings.

I am absolutely fucking puuuumped! Come on October!!!!

  7. Let him prove he’s worth starter money and we’ll pay him it in 2 years. I think this is a great deal for both.

  8. Excellent number for the Flames. I was thinking it would be in the 1 million range and no two way.

  9. Since he’s still waiver exempt they sweetened the deal so he’s still making 225 in the A this year. Solid asset management by the Flames.

  10. Can’t believe we’re gunna be paying a guy 850k per year to win back to back Vezina and Hart Trophies
