  1. Barron will be a good D in the NHL he’s 22 habs have to be patient how was Matheson when he came in the league? Didn’t pan out with the Panthers then got shipped out same outcome with the Pens his game started moving forward when he came to the Habs when he was what 28!!! So easy on shipping him out there Jesse

  2. Maillet moving out is a bit sad as there was place for him to stay one more year to help out this young group but at the same time a potential blessing in disguise for guys like Beck, Kapanen, Davidson, Farrell, Simoneau or Kidney who can all play center and will now have all the room to make things happen for themselves.
Anyway very happy with the signings of both Arber & Justin, insanely good deals. Kent is a Master, a Senseï.

  3. According to you….. Habs management never makes mistakes ….always wins every trade and signing….amazing they don't make the playoffs…..probably won't for another three years…..just when some of their better players run out of contract….

  4. Guys, enjoy your enthusiasm! Regarding the CAP, after this coming season Habs will be in an even better position given it is going up by $5M and Armia, Dvorak and (sadly) Savard will probably be off the books. If Evans & Pezzetta are retained they shouldn't cost much.

This all ties in nicely given Guhle will be the most expensive RFA to re-sign and there will be a lot of money available for a top UFA forward should Habs take that route.

  5. I don't understand the Xhekaj contract. The Habs could have flipped him for a 1st supposedly, but then they sign him for only 2 years. Do they want him or not? I suppose they'll sign him longer if he plays well.

  6. Really ? Barron got sent down to try and learn to be responsible as a defenseman. Didn't learn a damn thing ! Still caught too deep in the O zone and constantly hanging his partner out to dry. Get rid of him and give one of the up and coming d men a shot. Glad to have Arber locked up though.

  7. You two are awesome!! I love your shows and look forward to watching what you have to say about the Canadiens and the players. I became a Habs fan in '88, transitioning from the Flames. I am SO excited about this year and the future. KH is the best thing that could have happened for us. GHG!!!
