Never had a doubt with this Lakers squad – just felt like we would figure it out. Never had that feeling again unfortunately

The Kobe-Pau teams were my favorite Lakers teams. I miss them.
The most beautiful brand of basketball we have played since the Showtime period. Look at the ball movement to score the 11th point, just beautiful unselfish team basketball something Kobe has never played without Fisher. I loved this team before Meta and I enjoyed it big time. Don’t get me wrong, I love Meta, but the team slowed down a lot with him, it was competitive, but not so beautiful to see.
The passing from everybody in those highlights were a thing to watch

I remember coming home from HS and turning on ESPN to find out the Lakers traded for Pau. Good times.
Man they were running some nice stuff back then. Especially for those days. Having so many good passers on the court at once helps. Phil had these dudes humming.
FYI, this is Pau Gasol’s first ever playoff win. Dude got swept every playoff series prior.
