Stephen A Smith rips into Kerr for not playing Tatum

It starts around the 6:10 mark and can’t say I disagree with him

  1. I’m totally happy to let him sit. I honestly have never cared about the Olympics, so I’d rather our number one get rest after a long season to get ready for the title 19 push

  2. He’s such a fool, desperately trying to get back into the Celtics good graces lmao. What a fucking clown show this guy is.

  3. This a litmus test for who can read between the lines. Benching Tatum when you have more junior players is straight up disrespect. Kerr is basically saying he values the guy less, and I don’t care who you are, that’s gonna bother you, especially when a coach does it. Tatum is not a rookie fighting for minutes. He’s a senior allstar in his prime who’s just won a championship.

Some of you don’t think this is a big deal. But it’s definitely some ridiculous power play by Kerr. Tatum has put in the time. He’s proven his worth. A decent coach will work him in that first game. Waiting for the second game is a slap in the face.

And this coming off the back of not taking JB at all, when these guys just led the national championship winning team. The basketball establishment is on an ego trip. Maybe the Celtic era of dominance is threatening their relevance. It has a bit of new money vs old money rhyme to it. It doesn’t sit right with me to let it slide. I hope Tatum has a good game today, but if not, I know who I’m pointing the finger at.

Also thanks Steven A for calling this out and letting those of us in the minority know we aren’t taking crazy pills. Being gaslit by our own spineless, myopic Celtics fans. Truth by concensus is not truth, ya cowards.

  4. People need to stop crying for Tatum, think of Jaylen brown? They disintegrate even need him anyways during that win🥲
