Cleveland Guardians add starter and outfielder but did they do enough?
The Cleveland Guardians made two trades in the 48 hours before the deadline to acquire OF-Lane Thomas and starting pitcher Alex Cobb but is it enough to get them over the top in the American League?
On the field, the Guardians swept the Tigers and have now won 4 of 5 and have a 6.5 game lead over the Twins and Royals in the Central.

Not mentioning Crochet wasn’t going to pitch in the playoffs without an extension is so disingenuous when talking about the Guards/Sox trying to trade
They did just enough to say they did SOMETHING. Useless, non-impactful, pointless trades
I will say that they are good at taking "project" pitchers and turning them into key pieces. So fingers crossed.
YES, you NEED 4 STARTERS in the playoffs. If we learned anything from Tito, it's that 3-man rotations DO NOT WIN.
