All the articles covering this are extremely Twins-centric because it's still MLB season. Still, it's applicable to upper Midwest NHL/NBA fans this coming season.
TLDR:
Good news: Wild broadcasts will be available to Comcast/Xfinity subscribers (knock on wood)
Bad news: Only if you have the most expensive cable package
Worse news: I could be wrong, but it appears if you're subscribed to the middle-tier (which was previously sufficient to receive BSN) you still have to pay the monthly RSN fee.
Opinion: 'Member when local teams were on your local OTA stations? Seems the only league that gets afforded that privilege these days is the NFL. I genuinely cannot believe that this garbage business model appears sustainable to literally anybody involved. Cable is a sinking ship. This change marks the end of my cable subscription come time the term agreement ends this winter.

Yep, if I can’t watch Wild games, Spectrum can take a hike. Only reason I still pay those bandits.
Just hope I can find another option without having to jump through too many hoops
So, Ultimate package required PLUS a fee for the BSN package? Is there a straightforward breakdown of this?
Fun Fact: Ballys Sports North returns for Midco Cable customers tomorrow too.
