How is that not disrespectful? It’s basically tacitly acknowledging that the Brewers were right up there with those three teams, but that they didn’t matter solely *because* they were the Brewers.
Just more weird big-market propaganda. I don’t think the Braves have led the Brewers in the standings at any point this season. Not sure how it’s a 3-team race when there’s a 4th team in between. lol
Baseball’s a different game. You get into the post season and anything can happen. Diamondbacks won the NL last year. Let’s not count a (likely) Division champ out
Just form an elite tier league with the 4 largest market teams and let the rest of us compete for real.
Including Atlanta here is pretty objectionable. I think we can all admit the Brewers are underdogs compared to the Phillies and Dodgers but what is the argument that the Braves are clearly better?
I mean based on the past 3 weeks I don’t think it’s crazy to say the Brewers might fail to make the post season, especially after they did less than nothing to improve their pitching (Mears 1.2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 BB)
Flyover
At this point it looks like a two-team race but the Braves never were or will be in the conversation. It was Philly, LA, and Milwaukee up until the All Star Break and now I’d say it’s just Philly and LA. But no other team is jumping in here.
That’s like saying “I’m not an asshole, but…”
Prefacing something by saying you are not something just confirms you in fact are.
Same story. Different year.
He’s not wrong, he’s just an asshole Donnie
It’s weird that an article about the top three teams has some weird insecurity about a fourth team? Why not just focus on who you think are the best three? Or make one about the Brewers not being in the three? Whatever this is feels like a message
Can’t disagree with that, brewers doing their typical post-allstar choke
I know it wasn’t the point of the article but fuck them for putting it like that. The smirk comes off the screen.
You can’t just say “no disrespect” and then disrespect someone.
It’s basically a quote from Talladega Nights.
I mean I’m a Brewers fan, but I agree. U til the Brewers make a statement in the NL playoffs, they aren’t a serious risk. Yet. I get the feeling the front office sees a window opening with some of the young pitchers on the way as well as some power bats. I think they are playing conservative right now to bide time
