  1. Content idea ?You can look at your projections of the rosters , depth charts , who makes the team , who's in the long term plans, who's getting traded.

  2. If PLD said he would sign for 7.5 mil he would be in Montreal right now, his contract demands were higher then Suzukis contract , that was a no go for the habs .

  3. Only mistake Kent Hughes made was trading Lekhonen; and even then Justin Barron ceiling was pretty high at that time. [I keep saying the same thing over I know, but still]
Otherwise than that, I really believe he's almost perfect.
And we still got 2 first round pick next year !~!!
It's a good time to be a habs fan; just let the players play, and develop and we're in for a good treat in 2-3 years top when it will all blend together.

  4. Can someone please explain what Kent Hughs has done? He has done absolutely nothing for 4years. No big UFA, no trade and we still at bottom of barrel. So please stop. Kent Hughs is a glorified scout.

  5. I like Kent Hughes, but to be fair, he hasn't tried to compete yet. I think his his real worth as a GM will only be properly assessed once he decides it's time to make a push. If he wants to contend for the cup, he most likely will end up having to overpay a few veterans and sacrifice some future. Every contending team has to do it to a certain extent. The true testament to his talent will be how tightly he manages to walk the line between attracting the necessary talent to get the team to the next level while still maintaining a reasonable salary structure.

  6. Considering Marc Bergevin was the GM during Habs 2021 SCF run I think your math is off.

2025 nhl draft will be his 4th but really it’s only less than 3.5 actually seasons as GM.

  7. Marc B got too attached to players like Brendon G. Shea W. and Carey Price and offered or took on contracts with too long of a term. Kent's time will come when he has to sign the newer players to contracts when they are in their late 20's. Will Kent have to backload those with extra term to compete with the market, or will he deal them?

  8. night an day difference, and berg had star players, kent is rebuilding and has produced better … kinda weird now looking back lol
