[NBACentral] Anthony Edwards calls out French fans for booing Joel Embiid “You got Wemby and Rudy; why would he play with y’all? Wemby and Rudy, what more do y’all want? You want three 7-footers?”

I don’t really have a dog in the fight of Embiid playing for France, USA, or Cameroon, but I would absolutely love to see Rudy, Wemby, and Embiid all on the court together at the same time.
I was saying this when I first heard the negotiations went well with Embiid and Team USA.. I’m not even a huge Embiid fan or anything, but this is a way better opportunity for him to not only have his best chance at winning, but to be that presence as the “big man” alongside AD.
I personally think it’s really cool that dual-citizenship can play a factor in which country players want to represent, home isn’t always exactly *home* ya know.
Embiid spared the French fans from having to watch him flop and flail all over the place

Ant is just a great teammate no matter how you slice it. Bodes well for the Wolves franchise, recruiting talent shouldn’t be difficult when you have a dude like that.
Either way playing for the U.S was lame. You are not needed and could make the games more competitive by going to France or Cameroon, but instead you roll with the juggernauts.
Plus doesnt USAB have three 7 footers now? USAB can’t speak on stacked teams

Boo him because you don’t like his play style, or if he’s genuinely done something stupid off court, but booing him for harmless off court actions is dumb

I think the boos are more because Embiid wrote a really long heart felt open letter to the French president in French saying how much he admired France and wanted citizenship because he wanted to play for them since he was a child in a French funded school in Cameroon blah blah blah
And then he got the citizenship and didn’t play for them lmfao

Waiting patiently for Joel to flop over Durants ankle as he follows doctors’ orders to fall properly and protect himself. Why did team USA even want him.
