If they’re finally firing him, today would be the day since it’s the off day.
Making the change during the road trip would be odd.
Next Thursday is also an off day so that would seem to be the next opportunity.
Who would take over? Seems like loser Pedro should finish it out and own the worst record of all time

Eh, not like it matters. I’m just curious who’s taking over if it does happen. Montoya? Someone from the minors? Hire A.J?

How crazy is it to fire* your last 3 managers. I get LaRussa wasn’t technically fired, and he bowed out due to health concerns… but he was basically fired.

Jerry still sucks, and it’s not going to make the team much better, but when you are as bad at your job as Grifol you need/deserve to be fired.

WHY FUCKING WAIT?! This is exactly the problem with this team, every time there’s an obvious move to be made, they sit on their hands, they hem and haw and buy themselves more time.
Just fucking fire him already, he is as much a net negative as a manager can possibly be. If I walked into work, sat on my ass and did absolutely nothing every day, I would STILL provide more value to my company than Pedro does for the Sox because I’m not actively harming them.
God damn it, I’m so sick of the undying loyalty that these guys get because they’re cheap, Jerry’s boys or both.
