[Cody Manning] Adam Schefter confirms the Colts were trying to trade up for Brock Bowers on The Pat McAfee Show

The question is this when we were trying to get to 6, or afterwards? They’ve mentioned the colts trying to trade up in two different spots.
I figured it was Bowers. Insane receiving talent, and AR went to the TE’s a lot when he played. Probably figured he could be in play at 15 after dropping, but Raiders surprisingly picked him.
We were not trying to trade up to 6 to get Bowers.
MAYBE when we tried trading up with the Bears at 9 but not when we were trading up to 6.
I’m genuinely happy this potential trade didn’t end up happening, regardless.
1 player for Latu, Mitchell, and ’25 2nd just sounds like way too much.
Like, all that has to happen is Latu turns into a stud, and the trade wouldn’t have been worth it.
An edge is more valuable than a WR.
And if it was for Bowers, THANK GOD the Giants did not accept because that would have been insane to give all that up for a TE.
I’m just glad we didn’t because I can’t think of our team without the guys we drafted
