  1. Notes From the Game:

+ GROUND CHUCK WITH A RESPECTABLE OUTING! 6 Innings of 1 UNEARNED Run, 5-Hit Ball, Walking 2 and Striking Out 6 en route to his First Win since June 28th! Morton improves to 6-6 with an ERA of 3.94! Minimized the Walks and Hits, and his pitches were decently effective!

+ Bullpen did another BANGER JOB Limiting the Flailing Fish! Dylan Lee, a RETURNING Luke Jackson, A.J. Minter, and Rasiel Iglesias work together to FINISH the Final 3 Innings, Allowing 1 Run on 1 Hit, Walking 2 and Striking Out 4! Iglesias gets his 23rd Save, Pitching a PERFECT 9TH while Striking Out 1!

ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 2 Runs (1 Earned), 6 Hits, 4 Walks, 10 Strike Outs, NO Home Runs Allowed!

Not Many Chances for Scoring presented themselves tonight, but the Braves Offense Put up the Runs when Needed!

+ AUSTIN 3:16 STARTS THE SHOW WITH A BANG! 1-4 with a SOLO SUPER MISSILE INTO THE CHOP HOUSE SEATS! Riley stands in with a .256 Average, an OPS of .777, and 15 Home Runs on the Season!

+ MATTY-O CONTINUES TO SMASH! 1-4 with a TWO-RUN SUPER MISSILE INTO THE CHOP HOUSE! Olson Holds onto a .226 Average, .722 OPS, and 18 Homers on the Year!

+ EVEN ARCIA GOT IN ON THE FUN! 1-3 with a SOLO SUPER MISSILE IN THE 3RD! Arcia holds firm with a .225 Average, .625 OPS, and 10 Home Runs on the Season!

+ OTHER NOTABLES: Marcell Ozuna had a 2-4 Night, While Murphy and Kelenic had 1 Hit Each. Despite going 0-3, Jorge Soler Managed the ONLY Walk for the Braves Tonight. Rosario and Merrifield were the ONLY Braves to have 0'fers, going a combined 0-6 with 3 Ks.

+ A GREAT SERIES-OPENING VICTORY BY THE BRAVES! Morton was SOLID, the Bullpen was GREAT, the Defense Minimized Mistakes, and the Offense CONTINUES TO BE SUFFICENT! If there's a Time for the Braves to get RED- or even WHITE-HOT, IT MUST BE AGAINST THE FISH!

+ With this Win, The Braves are 1/2 Game Closer to the Philies and 1/2 Game further from the Mets, With Philly Only 6 Games Ahead, and the Mets 2 Games Behind Us. CANNOT let our guard down, though!

    TOMORROW:

Round 2 of 4 Between the Marlins and Braves will take place under the Evening Skies of Truist Park. The Marlins have yet to decide who will start for them in Game 2…

…But the Braves Have, as it will be SPENCER SCHWELLENBACH taking up Battle Stations for the Braves in a Critical Game 2 of this Series. Schwellenbach is coming off a FANTASTIC July, Going 3-1 against the Phillies, Padres, Cardinals, and Mets, Allowing just 6 Runs on 19 Hits in 26 Innings of work, Walking only 1 Batter while Striking out 26! His Last Start was his GREATEST MASTERPIECE so far in his Rookie Season: SHUTTING DOWN A HOT METS TEAM for 7 Innings, Allowing Just 2 Hits while Striking Out a Career-High 11, that's right, ELEVEN Mets en route to a SHUTDOWN WIN!

Can SCHWELLENBACH and the Braves play a sleeping Lullaby for the Flailing Fish?

Or do the Marlins have something awaiting the Tomahawk Chop that we least expect?

We will find out at 7:20 P.M. EDT on Bally Sports Florida (Marlins) and Bally Sports Southeast (Braves)!

    SoundFX09, Signing Out!

  2. Braves are hitting better but they still are not where they can be. They need Harris back hitting at least 275 average with 800 ops. Also need Albies back and having the same numbers. If they come back and hit 220 or 250 that is not a lot of help. They need to have 800 ops at least to get us to the next level. So far when they were healthy this year they have not hit as good as they can
