The Nashville Predators added key pieces like Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault in free agency, and expectations for the team have changed with the roster.   1. The pressure on Nashville is a result of management going from mentioning getting younger a year ago, to spending to the cap on aging players this offseason. Despite being max spenders this season, we did not upgrade down the middle. We also didn't trade up in the draft for the second straight year. If the Preds wanted to spend, they could've pursued younger players like Necas, Laine, or PLD. Now we've made our bed, and need to see this team go from not winning a round in 6 years to winning 4 rounds. This realistically needs to happen in the next two seasons, because of age. The last team to win with a core this old were the '02 wings.
