Flagship store opening and Intuit Dome tour

Made it out to the opening of the flagship store this afternoon. Besides the store, the plaza area was open which includes an outdoor basketball court, huge high definition screen, and art fixtures. DJ Dense was spinning and Cam Christie was there for a bit signing autographs. The store was large and well stocked with a wide range of designs similar to what you can find online. Purchases also included a free tumbler while supplies last.

The team was offering tours for $50, and I would highly recommend! The tour started with access to the upper bowl before moving to the lower bowl and wall. Not to rehash everything that has been written about Intuit Dome, but it is a truly state of the art facility. The seats are comfortable and roomy as advertised. The screen, which stretches all the way around the arena, is remarkable and can be seen with ease from any seat in the house. Overall, the sight lines and distance to the court, even in the upper bowl, offer a clear and close view. We also check out the lounge and club areas which are very nice.

The coolest part of the tour though, which we were asked not to photograph, was the practice court and locker room area. I’ve been in a few locker rooms on various tours and this one is truly luxurious. I can’t imagine that the level of the facilities isn’t a huge draw in our ability to land elite coaches and staff and perhaps even players. Our group also ran into President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker who was quite personable.

There are so many details I’m leaving out for brevity but the main point is Intuit Dome totally lives up to the hype as perhaps the most luxurious, tech forward, overall nicest arenas the world has ever seen, no joke. Needless to say, Crypto isn’t even in the same universe. If we can field a championship level team alongside it in the coming years, I can totally see the Clippers transforming into a premier NBA brand.

FYI, if you make it out, I would recommend you download and register a profile on the Intuit Dome app because you’re asked to create a profile prior to entry. The app also allows you to make purchases at the store and Dome without having to check out with anyone due to the incorporation of facial recognition.

Anyhow, just thought I’d share and encourage anyone who may be nearby to check it out this weekend. However it plays out on the court this season, no doubt that there are bright days ahead for Clippers fans!

  1. Where did you sign up for the tour? Is it at the site itself?

Any idea if the tour is $50 for kids as well?

Great pictures, can’t wait to check it out.

  2. anyone know if there are pictures of all the area high school jerseys or a story behind it or something? It was cool to see some IE schools and Morro Bay which is pretty far but obviously still in the clippers TV market lol

  3. How can the clippers let PG go with the new dome opening up they said. Theres no way they said. Always said that was the stupidest excuse. Once players experience the new dome we gonna get a big FA or 2 in the next 2-3 yrs bet.

  4. I paid for the more expensive tour and got to photograph the locker room and training facilities
