I think that edge rusher from Clemson we got should hold up well
If there was one position that Monti could have addressed in the draft, it was pass rusher. He failed.
The only answer this draft was Robinson and we got him. There was no T.J. Watt in this draft, but I personally believe that Robinson will be a beast.
I think they dodged a bullet because no one else has reported he’s injured long term, Johnny seems to be getting over his skis a bit as no one is saying BJ is out for a long time.
Still they should add a pass rusher either way. Go out and pickup Yannick Ngakoue before he gets swooped up.
The cardinals had plenty of draft picks. Why didn’t they draft linebackers Bj ojulari was hurt around this time last year with a knee injury. Didn’t the cardinals have four picks in the third round. They had an early fourth round pick. Why are they drafting tight ends and safety. The cardinals might look back at the 2024 draft and say they could’ve done better and they had a chance with all of the draft picks to build an elite defense
I pray for BJ. He looked like he was taking great strides. What a frustrating situation. I’ve had 3 ACL surgeries. It takes about a year and a half to feel normal again. You can come back sooner, but you don’t trust your knee and overcome the mental aspect for 12 to 16 months.

Hindsight is 2020, I felt like we could’ve gotten another linebacker in the draft. But a rookie probably wouldn’t help the Cards right now anyway.
Even with the knee situation, you can still get stronger in your upper body, you can really hit cardio hard within a couple weeks after surgery on Bikes and rowing a couple weeks after that, so if he sticks his head in the playbook, takes meaningful mental reps, and really works on his body, it can sometimes be a blessing. Even though it doesn’t seem like it right now.
I just really feel for the guy. Hurts the Cards, of course, but it hurts that young man even more!
(of course I am assuming that it is an ACL tear. Hard to tell in that video, but I went down the same way doing the same thing.)
On the bright side, in 16 to 18 months, I felt stronger than ever. I really committed to coming back strong, and I eventually came back faster, wiser, better.
Zaven Collins is so fucking bad. Now that BJ went down we are absolutely boned at EDGE. This is one reason I pounded the table for Dallas Turner in the draft with our second pick. This secondary is going to get shredded for a second year in a row if we can’t get any pressure on the QB
I understand getting injured in a game when everyone is playing all out. It amazes me how these guys are supposed to be conditioned athletes and get hurt so easily! Example this or Kyler Murray getting injured just jogging on the field. Or this example wish BJ a quick recovery!
Trading for Reddick would be a terrible move, he's almost 30 and wants to get paid. He doesn't fit the Cardinals timeline. This team, while promising, is not a championship contender right now.
