  1. 2-3 weeks from having a major league team again. Just need to tread wader but instead we’re being waterboarded

  2. Get a serviceable start from someone not named Glasnow challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)

  3. Excruciating loss. Hopefully the Sho-bomb sparked some life into the offense that they can carry into tomorrow

  4. Even against Oakland it’s hard to be surprised by that outcome, especially on the road. Unfortunately the Dodgers just aren’t a very good ball club as currently constructed. Just need to hold on for dear life and hope they’re in a reasonable position in the standings as the reinforcements come. Hopefully Flaherty gets us back in the win column tomorrow

  5. Honestly was nice to see Outman take a really good at bat in the 9th. It makes me sad to see him underperform.

I’m an A’s fan, grew up in the Bay Area, but my gf is from LA and loves to watch baseball. so naturally the dodgers game is usually on.

Looking forward to the rest of the series friends!

  6. I’ll catch shit for this but Will Smith doesn’t play as good as his stats show he does. He doesn’t have that next gear

  7. Hope Flaherty dominates in his Dodger debut tomorrow. And the bats wake up, for the whole game, not just for 2 innings.

  8. Are they just going to keep Smith hitting 2nd? Hes been given plenty of time to break out of this slump and he hasn’t.

  9. dodgers struggle started with Freddie out. Seems like all the injuries caught up and the Freddie absence was the final straw.

Still hopeful everyone hold the fort down until the reinforcements come back! How much longer for Mookie and Yoshi?

  10. I rarely post in the postgame thread, sucks that we lost but good to see them fight to the very end, hopefully the new guy does good tomorrow.

  11. Shohei has got to be feeling like he moved across the freeway just to be playing for the angels again

  12. Stone’s performance was unacceptable. He threw so many noncompetitive pitches for seemingly no reason, which meant he hung onto his changeup to get whiffs which got crushed the 2nd and 3rd time through the order. The bullpen did what they could, but Stone needs to figure it out coming into August.

The hitting also just wasn’t good enough. I pray that the reinforcements get here soon, because the level of production from the current 5-9 bats just isn’t good enough. Good gloves are useless when the A’s are just going to hit home runs or line drives anyways. I don’t think hope is lost, and if anything, I hope these losses build something within the team that we didn’t have lost year going into October.

Right now, it’s functioning on Gavin Lux, Teoscar, and the PRAYER that Ohtani won’t have a bad night.

  13. At this rate, if we had to play a series against the White Sox (who have lost 18 in a row), we would have the opportunity to do the funniest thing.

  14. Not understand why Dave wouldn’t fucking start Rosario. He’s made bad decision after bad decision lately.

  15. Not that we should take anyone lightly, but this series is supposed to be an opportunity to “get right”. Not looking great so far. Hopefully we can at least get something going soon.

  16. damn it I still had “Ohtani homer = tie game” in my head from his previous at bat and was optimistic for a brief moment there

  17. Our pitching is in shambles. Stone has been scouted and also like many rookies run down after pitching more than he did in minors. Better it happens now than we rely on him for post season high leverage. Not sure I can name 3 sure thing arms for the post season right now. We might have 5 good ones but no guarantee. Just keep the faith. Things could be worse. It wasn’t the cause of the loss but Dave’s moves were so predictable. Why not try something new like leave the new guy in against the lefty.
