Alvy makes all of our pitchers better. I know he’s got a cold bat recently, but he’s still such a fucking weapon on defense. Great framing and stellar arm.
It’s honestly ridiculous how much Alvy gets praised and I’m here for it. I’ve honestly never seen a catcher be so lauded by pitchers like he has
Edit: Also this is Blackburns first start and I assume he may not know much about Alvy and yet he says this from the jump. Alvy is an astoundingly great Met and I love him
