SCOOP: The Patriots and Browns are the front runners in trade discussions for 49ers star receiver Brandon Aiyuk, per a league source. Both teams are offering more than $30M. Though the Steelers are also in the mix, this should come down to the Patriots and the Browns.

  1. Idk how the Browns are going to fit a $30+ million WR into their cap structure when they already have a decent WR room.

  2. We literally get laughed at everytime we’re “the front runner” for a talented receiver.

    Don’t buy it.

    Don’t believe it.

Until Aiyuk is under contract at New England catching balls I still won’t believe it

  3. I’ve seen us be the frontrunner for so many disgruntled star WRs and it not happen that I’m not gonna get my hopes up.

  4. This is why we shouldn’t have traded Mac Jones so early this off season. He would’ve been the perfect trade piece going the other way. SMH GM Bill fucks us again

  5. If this is real. Hot damn. Hopefully just don’t give up too much draft capital, but it sounds like it would be a big move.

  6. Serious question: how good is Aiyuk because of Aiyuk versus he seems good because a team can’t literally defend every weapon on the 49ers offense?

  7. I’m a bit torn with this guy, as I think McCaffrey, Deebo, and Kittke are straight up better than him, but he’s still youngish, fills a need, has played a similar scheme, is obviously pretty damn good, and it ain’t my money, so sign me up

  8. Would love to have Aiyuk, but the timing feels clunky. I wouldn’t be comfortable trading the 2025 1st given how good that pick could be, and a second almost certainly doesn’t get it done. I’m not sure what the trade package looks like.

  9. Doesn’t this require meeting BOTH the 49ers price for a trade, and BA’s price for new contract? Seems like a situation where a million things could derail a deal.

  10. Cool. I’ll believe it when I see it. Although, I would personally would prefer to let this season be what it is, and let everyone develop while also getting the best possible pick.

  11. I really hope the Pats don’t do this. I think they have a really good trio with Polk, Pop and Baker and would rather see Drake grow with them rather than being in someone that will command an insane account of targets because he is that good.

  12. 1. Aiyuk

    2. Pop

    3. Polk

    4. Baker

    5. Osborn

    6. Raegor

    7. Bourne (INJ)

Would be a pretty solid WR corps.

  13. If I’m Ayiuk, I’m picking us knowing he is the #1 for years with upside vice the browns being the browns and Watson

  14. Is this person credible? What is their track record in regard to newsbreaking/news reporting?

  15. So what he’s saying is SF is keeping him and this is just another story to get people’s hopes up
