  1. I hope he can feel more like himself in the KHL. I believe that certain narratives were pushed about this guy from blogs that really weren’t in the know.

  2. Arthritis? And he didn’t tell the team or the trainers?!?

A team and trainers already dealing with Backy and Teej?

    I’m calling BS.

  3. This sounds suspicious. If it were a physical problem, he’d have been placed on injured reserve, right? Player assistance is for mental health and addictions.

  4. Wouldn’t RA just land you in Injured Reserve or LTIR? Oshie didn’t go into player assistance for his Chronic Pain.

    Smells suspicious to me too.

  5. If you look into the player assistance program, it’s for all sorts of things (one thing mentioned was sleep issues, which Kuzy mentioned). The key is it’s confidential, so for whatever reason, he didn’t want the team to know what the issue was, RA or not.

  6. Ah yes, all the medical and mental health experts in the comments know exactly why one would or wouldn’t be in the player assistance program. If you read the full statement, part of the issues were from being brutally sleep deprived, which can definitely result in a concoction of health issues. Kuzy can’t even come clean about his health issues without comment section experts finding everything suspicious. No wonder most people just stay quiet and don’t say shit to media.

  7. As someone who has RA, this is a wild story. RA sucks, and the pain is worse. I wonder how the joint inflammation is on him.

  8. > A lot of people close to me are waiting for me to shit myself.

I have to imagine there might’ve been a better way to translate this one lol.

  9. Wow everyone is still going to just assume he was having a drug issue? 🙄 he doesn’t owe you anything

  10. Another good reminder that not every time someone goes into the program it’s drug/alcohol related.
