I read that article yesterday. I’m hoping they get signed soon. I know they will get signed but I’m still a little anxious. I really hope they both get 8 year deals.
They won't sign above 8.5M
A lot suggests that S.Y will not give more than 10.4% of the cap for any one off them. If you look at what Larks got, we are there % wise and he is clearly the best player RW has and has shown it year after year.
<<Personally, I think one of them does a shorter deal or they both can do it 3x. Why sign an 8-year contract today when most things suggest that the cap will go up every year in the future.
I have no worries at all they will be signed before camp, I think both to 8 year deals probably both in the 8-8.5 mil range

The guy answering these questions seems to think a bridge deal isnt what the players want, and that also the team would much rather have 8 year deals in place for both guys. I think the sticking point is between just that. Players will want to max out there money, so bridge deals make the most sense for both. Once they get the last year of that bridge deal, they hold all the leverage and will get paid much more than a long term deal.
Steve’s going to get the best deal he can, he’s KNOWN for this. Not worried.
The yzerclown will send Raymond and their first round pick to Toronto for future considerations
I think they could both get 6.75 deals for 4 years then they will get that 10+ million deals for 8+ years
Don’t matter…Wings aren’t ready to win, so more important for Yzerman to work out better team contracts. Also, puts our bad contracts one year closer to being off the books. Need players that are in Detroit to win and willing to sign team favorable deals. Tom Brady won super bowls because he understood making less money meant better impact players.
Why would seider get payed more than lucas
claude lemieux is each one's agent. he still remembers mccarty beating the snot out of him. he will screw the wings. trust me.
