  1. Positives from today’s Cleveland baseball:

Powers bats get us the runs tonight, thanks to the 😇 and the 🐐. The offense gets 4 runs off of 6 hits and 2 walks. Angel and José both launch two run home runs, with Kwan’s two walks enabling him to be the second run for both bombs. ⛄️ hits a double in his two hit night, and Gimenez and 💨 each get a single.

Joey Cantillo continues his trial by fire to start his career, going from Philly to Baltimore for his second start. Cantillo goes 4+IP, 6H, 3R, 0BB, and 4K on 88 pitches. A nasty curve helps him to his second solid career start.

The bullpen crew tonight of Avila(1.2IP), 🏝️(0.1IP), and ❌(3IP, 4R) combine to go 5IP, 9H, 4R, 1BB, and 2K. Unfortunate timing for some defensive issues for Curry’s first appearance in what feels like months, even more unfortunate to see after a beautiful 8 pitch (8 strike) inning to start his outing.

They may have taken an unfortunate loss, but the Akron pitching cooked tonight. Aaron Davenport started and went 5IP, 6H, 2R, 2BB, and 10K, and reached 102 strikeouts on the season. He got followed by Bradley Hanner(2IP, 1BB, 4K) and Lenny Torres Jr(1IP, 3K) followed him up with Hanner’s walk being the sole baserunner allowed between the two. *Akron bats pls don’t vanish again I finally have some more shifts there this week and want to see wins…*

Yo… Sticks highlights? 6IP, 4H, 0R, 3BB, and 11K on 86 pitches? FB touched 96 and stayed at 95 through the 6th? Great command all game? Hell yeah.

  2. Cantillo is probably not ready for the big leagues yet and I think it’s time to end the Xzavion Curry experiment. Let’s win the series tomorrow.

  3. I get Vogt was playing the long game tonight, but with Burns pitching tomorrow I think you go ahead and try to take this one.

  4. X I’m begging I’m screaming please stop with the meatballs.

Also this team should stand before a military tribunal for the defense tonight.

  5. Before this series started all I wanted was a split. That’s the worst case scenario now, not bad. But let’s still get 3 Tomorrow!

  6. Rough game. We put up a good fight but we weren’t the better team.
Lot of rough mistakes from the OF in the back third of the game.

Ah well. We’re still playing with house money. Go back and win the series tomorrow.

  7. Isn’t fry the emergency catcher? Why make hedges come in defensively there

  8. We’ll get them tomorrow no sweat about tonight. Our bullpen got some rest thanks to Curry.

  9. Can’t win em all. Saved the bullpen for tomorrow which is good. Cantillo probably needs more cooking time in AAA and Curry…yikes

Shoutout to the guy sitting behind me at the game talking about his parlays the whole game

  10. Split it tomorrow – bullpen is rested and we can get back on track!

Edit: Win tomorrow for series win NOT split. Doh.

  11. I thought Curry’s line was worse than he actually pitched. And once it got bad he had to take it on the chin to save the rest of the pen.

Some bad/weird defensive plays. The bunt Avila picked up, the ball getting caught in Josh’s glove, whatever the hell happened with Noel out there. Those are anomalies.

Been a good effort against a good team. Take the series tomorrow. I will admit, I am getting real tired of Henderson killing us. Helluva player.

  12. Lane Thomas had a 28 game on base streak entering tonight, was crushing the #2 spot too, and we won both games he played.

Thomas gets moved to 5th and goes 0-4, losing the streak, and we lose.

  13. I don’t think Cantillo looked that bad, tough to have your 1st 2 major league starts against 2 if the best lineups in baseball… but damn does curry suck we really need to hope that Cobb or Boyd can actually help especially with Bibee maybe being hurt

  14. Really this was a game we easily could have won and we needed it with Corbin burns pitching Tom. And the white Sox are so bad they might now win another game until they play us

  15. Curry is an AAAA guy and we ask too much of him any time we want him to do anything other than eat innings

  16. Noel straight Bad News Bears’d that ball. All good. Win the series tomorrow. ⚾️

  20. Random (drinking) Twins fan asking… how are you guys absolutely obliterating everyone this year? This is an honest question. No hate. How is the team different than last year? How the H do you guys stay good more years than bad? Front office ninjas? What is going on lol? I know you have history…..I’m related to Bob Feller. I get it.

I go to a different city to watch the Twins every year and I think it’s high time I made it to Cleveland. I think we both hoped the White Sox got a bit better (but not so much better) so rivalries could be clear and present but that is NOT happening anytime soon.

So I guess it’s us and perhaps those kids from KC the next few years. May it make for great baseball. Peace.
