Charles Tillman had a historic 13-year career with 44 career forced fumbles, a record that will be held for years to come at the DB position. Those 44 are also tied for 6^(th) all-time at the defensive player position. His ability to generate fumbles at the DB position garnered a move called the peanut punch which stems from his aunt nicknaming him peanut as an infant. Post his playing career he had an affinity for police work and before the age cutoffs of 37 years of age, he joined and made through the probationary period as an FBI field agent.

Charles does philanthropic work as well through the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation that aims ‘Helping meet immediate needs of all families with no restrictions concerning financial status or medical conditions.’ One of which activities saw Charles row across Lake Michigan to raise 200,000 dollars in donations to help kids with cancer under Row4Kids in 2019. His philanthropic work was also recognized at the NFL level back in 2013 with recognition as a Walter Payton Man of the Year recipient.
