I almost feel like he owed the Flames a little. Don’t blame him for going after a long term contract but I truly believe he would have gotten more ice time here
He’s a high risk, high reward signing. He felt that he should get a multi-year deal with the Flames and could get that in the market. The Flames called his bluff and loaded up on other D prospects who could take his place. Wish him well but the dude has zero loyalty to an organization that patiently helped him for a long time

This isn’t a boo for life offence like Fuck Adam Fox, but I definitely feel like he took advantage of us. He made over $3M USD while finding himself. That’s money that ultimately comes out of our pockets as fans. We’re justified in feeling a little salty about that.
Good fans of Calgary, Kylington leaving is a good thing for three reasons. 1. This makes us worse on the blueline. Better odds at a top three draft pick every time we get worse. 2. He’s going to Colorado to convince Makar to come home in three years. 3. Realistically, Oliver is just a third pairing guy with offensive upside. We will have better players to take his spot in due time. In Conny we trust.
Kylington can score 40 goals and win a cup with the Avs and I won’t lose a minute’s sleep. IMO, he is not the type of player the Flames need to build their new foundation upon.
Flames fans need to be truthful and realize, nobody wants to play here. And those you can lure here are here for the money only. Go ahead and downvote the shit out of this…. But it’s true
