[Schefter] Former Dolphins and Cowboys center Connor Williams reached agreement on a one-year deal worth up to $6 million, including $3M guaranteed, with the Seattle Seahawks. The deal was negotiated and confirmed by Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha.

Huge pickup to bolster our interior. If he’s as healthy as he claims, this is significant improvement at center.

  1. This seems like a pretty great price for a top offensive lineman with versatility across multiple positions. Fantastic signing!

  2. Holy shit no way John signed an O-lineman. Jokes aside he can ball. #2 overall center by PFF, #1 in run blocking, #9 in pass protection. I know it’s just PFF stats but he’s been solid over the years as far as I know.

  3. This is a great pickup for us…Here’s hoping he can stay healthy and pickup all the incentives

  4. Now let’s have a season with great vibes and a healthy Williams and get him re-signed for the next 3-4 years after this.

  5. Huge get, nice job JS! Now when that Abe Lucas passes his physical tweet hits we are fucking COOKING

  6. My best hope is he’ll stay healthy and play good enough to extend to like a 3 year deal. The interior of the o-line is the weakest group of this team next to the linebackers.

  7. Our offense has the potential to be SCARY this season! Way to EFFIN GO, John! #GoHawks!!!

  8. I’m glad I was wrong. Gives Olu another year to develop while not killing us now

  9. Awesome. If Williams and Abe were both healthy, this OL suddenly looks like it could be actually legit.

We’d all be so stoked to see just perfectly adequate, average NFL OL for the first time in many years.

    Dare to dream!

  10. This is one of the best off seasons I’ve seen from Seattle, if not the best off season. Extremely hyped for this season to begin!

  11. LFG!!! I feel like this is the type of FA that we would have missed out on with Pete, so I’m glad we got our guy this time!

  12. He lacked strength to play guard with the cowboys. The dolphins were smart to put him inside at center, he has always been a very intelligent player. As bad as his injury was, I wouldn’t expect quality snaps until mid season. Hopefully he is able to return to form and play a long time.
