  6. Fautanu might be the best pass protecting OT on the team and is a natural LT. Tomlin will probably ease him in and let Moore start the season. I agree with Derrick Bell who also thought it makes sense to leave Fautanu at LT.

    How about we have him call Shanahan a cracker, so that he gets released.
    This magic trick has worked once before in the bay area

  12. Everyone is assuming a long term deal would be part of the conversation for Aiyuk. Frankly it serves the Steelers and Aiyuk to simply make the trade for just this season. Picken's contract will come up after the season and Khan can decide between him and Aiyuk since there's probably only going to be one huge contract WR on the team. SF loaded up on WR draft picks with Pearsall and Cowing so they're very deep in talent even without Aiyuk. Daniels is a top ten OG and exactly what SF needs to compliment their talented rushing attack and also mentor Dominick Puni who needs a year to develop before starter duty. So a simple trade of Daniels for Aiyuk and maybe a draft pick swap benefits both teams. Aiyuk will get more exposure in Pittsburgh and if he hits free agency in 2025 will be able to choose where he wants to play and certainly command top five wr salary.

  17. If anyone thinks the Khan artist can get one over the Niners, they don't know John Lynch. Lynch is smart and will not get rolled. This is going to cost the Steelers a lot.

  20. Steelers total WR salaries: 11 million (32nd).
    T-30th: Geeen Bay & New Orleans: 16 mil.

    If Van Jefferson was a viable #2, he wouldn't be on a vet minimum deal. Austin looks average with pads. Wilson is gonna miss 99% of his first camp.

    2024 Chase Claypool would their clear #2, & got a 1 yr deal that's nearly 3x of what Jefferson will make (2.98m v. 1.12m). We know what Claypool is, so this should tell you something about Jefferson to be valued that much less than someone we wanted rid of.

    Pickens is gonna get doubled to death.
