The Kansas City Chiefs could benefit from this because the more games in the NFL regular season, the more revenue the Chiefs can receive throughout the season. When the NFL expanded to 17 games players received an extra paycheck, but the additional paycheck did not count towards the team’s salary caps. With an 18 game schedule, every team can play every other team in its own conference plus every team in its own division 2x. This would be the first time that there would be equity in scheduling.
