I have loved seeing all the greats getting back into the mix now that he who shall not be named is gone. The positive energy around this team has been amazing to see this off-season.
I hope the players listen this man won 3 super bowls with 3 different QBs. He knows this is a team game first.
Gibbs was(is)a good person acting as a teacher, an ambassador, a motivator, and a tactcian. The year of the scrubs when he would not allow any of the regular players to cross the picket line was the epitome of a coach bonding with a team. He had their back, and they knew it.
I’m biased but you can make a case for him being the best coach in NFL history.
All other coaches to win at least 3 Super Bowls had a franchise QB.
1. Bill Belichick had Tom Brady (6).
2. Chuck Noll had Terry Bradshaw (4).
3. Andy Reid has Patrick Mahomes (3).
4. Bill Walsh had Joe Montana (3).
5. Joe Gibbs had Joe Theismann, Doug Williams, and Mark Rypien (3).
Heck even Vince Lombardi had Bart Starr if you want to count 5 championships from 1961-1967 (2 Super Bowls).
