9. If we're doing it to save cap then I can understand them waiting, but if they doing it to protect Jalens feelings they need to just pay Sengun his money.

   Jalen wanting money he clearly hasn't earned yet should be more concerning to them than his feelings being hurt.

10. Sengun eaened 1/3 of Jalen in the last three seasons but his contribution has been far greater than Jalen's.

    Sengun earned his reputation with blood, sweat and tears as well as talent and iq.

    Sengun will get max contract in any team in NBA the next year. I think it would be a smart move to give him the max this year. It would create a bond between the team and Alperen. That's emotional investment, and always pays back.

    NBA is full of great talents with no championship, because they travel from team to team, and has no loyalty to their teams.

    On the other hand, one-team players like Olajuwon, Jordan, Kobe, Robinson etc embraced their team as their own.

    Now not paying Sengun may save a few bucks for a year, and stop emotional tantrums from Jalen Green, Jalen will not be here in the long run anyway.

11. Sengun has the Whirling Dervish Flamingo Shotput just like Hakeem had the Dream shake, Kareem had the sky hook, Jordan had the fadeaway.
    It's very hard to have a player with a signature shot.

14. Sengun has been screwed by the rockets since day 1. He could have had a run at the rookie of the year but they played Wood instead. They have never seen him as a franchise player until Ime came in and even then that was because they had no choice. Im not a rockets fan but as someone who roots for Alpi I think he should move on from the rockets. I've said that since day 1 and I don't think he is a rocket much longer. If someone deserves a contract he gets it don't care about your cap or you other player you picked at 2. That is not Alpi's problem. The team is screwing him again to put themselves in a better spot. It's shit or get off the potty time for Houston.

Sengun is not only Rockets best player, but best center after Embiid and Jokic.. lf fools in Rockets Fo does not give him max, other 29 teams will… Putting Sengun and Green in the same pocket is an insult to Sengun.. who is Green? Inconsistent, at best 6th from bench player with almost zero baskeball iq and tunnel vision..

23. If Sengun is cool with the wait…what's the problem? I'm more worried that he is being told that his "fit" with the Rockets is not ideal, and that he would "fit" better on…The Nicks, Cavs, or even Golden State. There seems to be a muddied understanding of who the top dog is on the Rockets, and so far, it's sort of worked…sort of.
