The Angel Martinez move kinda surprises me. It makes sense if the team wants him to play every day and thinks Brennan will do better in the platoon role. Even so, I still think the upside with Martinez is much higher.
going from 2-hole hitter to AAA in a week is crazy.
Not the moves I’d have gone with. We’ll see how it works out
It’s interesting that they went with Cantillo over McKenzie for the spot start, although I can’t say I blame them. I also doubt that they will DFA Carrasco now, as he is probably the easiest pitcher to phantom IL and he isn’t completely worthless.
The Brennan move makes little sense to me honestly, are they going to give him some run in CF and platoon him with Thomas? They must really not trust Valera.
If we’re getting a hot Brennan then I like it. The Cookie move does feel like a phantom IL situation.
No Manzardo has to be something they’re seeing that we aren’t.
Dang. Angel looked so good when they called him up, but he did really cool off at the plate and he didn’t look great in the outfield, either. I still can’t get over that play where he blocked Jhonk from picking up the ball and then tossed it to him allowing an inside the park home run. It’s probably the worst defensive play from the Guards I’ve ever seen.
Brennan was raking in AAA, so I get it. Here’s to hoping it gave him momentum that he can keep up here.
I can understand Angel getting more time in the oven at AAA. It actually makes sense when you look at his production these last few weeks.
What doesn’t make any sense in the world to me is leaving Kyle, Brito and Valera to rot in AAA when you could’ve moved any of them. Surely we could’ve made a move for one of them.
Will has shown when he gets hot it can be electric. We’ll see if that carries over after a pretty awesome stretch in Columbus.
Poor Cookie. Seems like one of “those” IL moves. I’ll miss AMart, but hopefully Brennan can bring it!!!

Brennan going 6/7 today after he takes Lame Thomas’s spot
Hmm no Logan Allen being brought up? This is a great opportunity to see if he worked out all his kinks considering he pitched quite well last time.
Damnn poor Angel but if Brennan comes in hot and swinging it could make our bats more productive.
But damn losing another starter pitcher sucks. Let’s hope Cobb doesn’t get injured again
Cobb got scared from the start and wasn’t activated. Any news?
