  1. Excited to see what cash considerations do for the Jays moving forward, that’s a win.

  2. Makes sense. He would have likely been let go as a minor league free agent anyways in the off-season and the Jays upper minors/MLB is now relatively filled with OF. He was likely getting released but the Yankees called and wanted him for depth.

**Roden – Clase – Robertson** is pretty much the everyday OF moving forward in Buffalo with **Loperfido, Barger & Berroa** potentially being optioned down the line or trading spots with them in the Majors. They have several capable of filling in as a 4th or 5th OF at the level too.

He has great speed and fielding but you aren’t going far slashing .198/.299/.322 with a .621 OPS in AAA.

The Jays have now traded/released **34 minor leaguers** since the draft.

The Jays also only have 3 “veterans” remaining in the minor-league system that aren’t on the 40-Man. *Joey Votto, RHP James Kaprielian & Peyton Henry (60-Day IL).*

  3. wait, you can still have minor league trades?

What if you demote vladdy jr to the minor leagues while the yankees demote judge and soto and the two teams make an inconsequential minor league trade at this time of the season?

Also, does cash considerations for the minor leagues count towards reducing luxury tax burdens?
