  1. That win streak was really fun and we still took the series! I did not like that umpire though. Anyways go brewers and see y’all tomorrow

  2. Whatever. Very Winnable game but after 5 game win streak can’t complain too much especially with a 7.5 game lead.

Hopefully the offense wakes up again vs the Dodgers. I want to win that series so bad.

  3. Love Murph, but 100% that’s on him- leaving hall in the fifth, Ross instead of our leverage arms when tied, not putting Turang in motion when you pinch run him to avoid the DP, and the de la lose intentional walk, oof. Get back on the saddle tomorrow

  4. Boy, these last two games were not how I was hoping we’d look coming into a nasty Dodgers series. Gonna be hard to rally after limping in like this.

  5. We’re playing very well lately and there was quite a bit of bad luck today (Reds xBA’d .172 and scored 4 runs anyway) but this was still a dumb loss and in some big ways we beat ourselves. The intentional walk of Elly (who has been useless this series) to face Stephenson/Steer (who had both homered this series) was dumb, and pulled the classic “forget that walks happen” trick that I hate when teams intentionally walk guys, especially with 1 out and there are multiple opportunities for a future walk to hurt.

Also with we’d steal to get out of GIDP chances far more often, there is just no reason Turang (who has been caught 5 times all season and only 3-4 at 2B I believe) should continue to sit at first base with 1 out representing the tying run while Contreras is up. Especially when we had just had two DPs to blow the two prior innings. Obviously Murphy is a pretty decent manager but it’s also worth noting we have not been particularly good in close games this year.

Hall looked by far the best we’ve seen him up to this point, and Ross did well to keep it close and save the pen for the absolutely massive series against LA coming up. See y’all then…

  6. I made the mistake of watching the game on the big tv in our basement. Smaller living room tv from now on it is.

  7. Should be mandatory for any baserunner that’s on in front of Contreras to steal ASAP.

  8. Rough game, one bad play and a strange intentional walk probably cost us the W

Still got the series win though!

  9. Didn’t watch the game but see Hall didn’t make it 5 innings, he didn’t get hurt again did he?
