Its not just the Cubs fans. The Bears fans have been saying the same thing about the Packers for 40 years lol. Lets not forget how Mark Attanasio got swindled when he lost Craig Counsell to Chicago for the bargain price of $8 million a year. I don’t know how Craig is expected to win when he only has a payroll that is $100 million higher than the Brewers.
This is why they have to wear the brown pants, because they keep shitting themselves.
I literally had this exact same conversation with a family member at a funeral a week ago. They started by bragging about having Craig Counsell, to which I asked how that was going. Their response was that the Cubs won 3 games in a row. I pointed out the Brewers still had a significant lead on them in the standings, so the conversation immediately switched to how sweet 2016 was. Just living a dream in the past down there.
Name a better duo than Chicago fans talking about past championships.
I was quite literally at XLV and I bring it up less than the bears fans do with 85
