1. after the 1st inning bases loaded situation, i turned the game off and walked away, only to check later and see they won, lol, i was so mad

2. A lot of errors and mistakes from both sides in this game. I'd be happy with a split series.

3. Need to check Otani for steroids! He never even came close to playing this good in Japan and he is at least 30 pounds heavier than he was here. I know he’ll never be checked, because major-league baseball would lose too much money if you were found positive for steroid use. Just think of all those hundreds of millions of dollars, that would stop coming in from Japan!

4. Tyler Black… lots of fan support, great minor league record, fits the speed philosophy of Murphy's game perspective. I think the reason he's been given what seems like an abundant amount of opportunities and in key lineup positions is because Murphy is testing him. Murphy wants to know if this guy is ready to be an asset on this team. If successful, the success ceiling for this team goes way up. Tyler Black is a speed demon and a left handed bat. This team might want a replacement infielder that has a left handed bat like Oliver Dunn or a Tyler Black. The crew has Monesterio, but he's a right handed bat that can replace infielders. So, with key injuries to Hoby Milner and Blake Perkins, a roster spot opened. Murphy wants to know if Black can succeed. If he can , it presents a pleasant problem to have. If not, no worse off. Murphy knows that exploration is necessary to win it all, you can't just be dogmatic and stand pat playing the same exact lineup everyday.

5. Tobias Myers ; ace of the staff or tentavively ace of the staff? In my humble opinion (free of charge by the way, lol); if Tobias Myers pitches well against the Dodgers today, he's the ACE. How can anyone dispute that? If Tobias Myers gets ripped today, then maybe not. This game is a high leverage game coming after Tobias has pitched well for a stretch, and a well pitched high leverage game would raise Myers' status to be the true ace of this team. Murphy will realize it, but probably isn't going to throw Peralta under the bus with the admission of this.

6. Few years ago I read a great article (Sporting News, I think). The basic premise was that hitters on the minor leagues know that drawing walks doesn't help them get promoted. To be called up quickly, they need to slug. Savvy pitchers know this so they get a lot K's by not throwing strikes.
   Some hitters know this, so they in turn are patient and draw a lot of walks. Basically, "Control" pitchers & hitters don't automatically succeed in the Bigs.
   When Tyler Black first came up I was so eager to watch him at bat. He was a bust the first time and is again this time. He just takes every pitch and hopes they are called Balls. Someone has to change this because Major League pitchers are must better working the edges. He's slugging 167 and has K'd 7 times in 18 ABs
   And, he's batting 3rd ??

7. I think tonight is must win. We have to start playing up to a playoff level and beating teams like the dodgers like it's just another day at the office. Then we have to go out and catch them and the phillies or we're gonna get bounced in the wildcard again

8. How does a professional baseball player get deaked by a middle infielder so badly that he then thinks he has to return to first base, only to change his mind and not retag second base before going to third ? Then in another situation he slows down TWICE, before eventually scoring . It was embarrassing and I hope he learned something.

9. What an "amateur" blunder by Ortiz. Lucky we won, in spite of it.
   1. Why are you sliding into 2nd? There is never going to be a pay there.
   2. Why are your eyes not on the ball ?
   3. Round 2nd base and keep going, it is only a matter of fair or foul ??

10. Attanasio would rather spend time taking sand in California or buying a soccer team instead of spending money on players to help the brewers improve.

11. Seems like the Brewers are inept at developing big power bats. I'm talking consistent 25+ HR. Chourio might develop into that, but that is yet to be determined. All their current biggest hitters were all developed elsewhere (Adames, Contreras, Yelli, Hoskins). We have plenty of speed guys, but not enough thumpers. Need to find a better balance there. Who was the last home grown stud power bat they drafted and developed. Braun? Fielder?

13. Tyler Black experiment needs to end i think. Minor league slugger, nothing more as far i can tell. Maybe too early to say but putting him that high up in the order is criminal

14. Montas pitched beyond expectations last night. Leadoff error by Ortiz (not Adames), Betts had a clean hit, then Freddie sticks out his bat on a good pitch and luckily bops it for a hit to left. The first run, sac fly should have been 3rd out, no earned runs for Montas. He worked the top of the zone effectively, something that is rarely seen from a Brewer starter.
