  1. Love TO, but this was a horrible game for him. 0-4, 4 SO, 5 LOB. Of course, Cora bringing in Horn when it’s a close game is still a head scratcher…

  2. Batting 1/14 with RISP and leaving 11 on base as a team is not an ideal way to win

A split with one of the best teams in baseball is very nice

  3. Decent pitching today and the bats were just asleep. Seems like recently we only get one or the other, and never the both which we’ll need to make a run at this WC spot

  4. Alex Cora mindlessly chasing the lefty/righty matchup

Horn for Crawford: 2-run HR to Gunnar Henderson

Romy for Hamilton: 0/2 including pop-out with bases loaded

Gasper instead of Jansen, a career reverse splitting righty: horrendous strikeout with bases loaded

The last one is the craziest part, Jansen literally has comparable splits against righties for THREE STRAIGHT SEASONS, while Gasper has TWO MLB AT-BATS

I’ve given up on expecting him to ever learn this lesson but holy shit man

  5. Starter melts down late ✅

Defense extends the inning after the starter induces a double play ball and allows the starter to keep melting down ✅

Bullpen comes in and allows all the inherited runners to score ✅

Behold, the script for every loss.

  6. Woof. Such a winnable game. But fuck it. Splitting with a damn good team on the road, I’m not complaining. Reality is it’s all about KC. They’ve got a rough final 6 weeks. We don’t. Keep grinding and we can make October.

  7. On the bright side, everyone who was bitching about Kenley being used last night now hopefully understands why you never let what MIGHT happen tomorrow stop you from getting a win TODAY

So at least we all learned something

  8. With this team in its current state I will take a 4 game split with the O’s in Baltimore.

Onto our house of horrors AKA Houston

  9. Feel like we coulda grabbed 3 out of 4, but coming into this series all I wanted was a split. So, yeah.

  10. Didn’t get to watch as it was on at 3am but I’ll take a Benny’s Banana Split here

  11. Next Monday we start a 5 games in 4 day stretch with Toronto. That’s as easy as our schedule can get need 4 of those minimum. 4-2 in our next 6 is also needed
