3. Cubs fans are gonna hate to hear this but I don't see much of a difference Craig counsell managing this cubs team than what David Ross did. One was paid lot of money to help take the team to the next level and the other was over .500 at this point last year and missed wild card by 1 game and was fired

   I would rather lose this year by trying other pitchers in late inning situations, than lose next year because the Neris option vests….

   Don't get pinch hitting Paredes for Busch late in the game. Yeah, they brought in a left handed pitcher…….but you have gale force winds blowing in from LF and you pinch hit with a true pull hitter who has yet to hit a home run even close to RF? I'd rather take my chances on Busch.

12. I'm tired of hearing how great Happ is. Over his last 7 games he's batting .280, last 15 games .246, and the last 30 games, .205. .205? He should be on the bench. Overall average, .233. And I've never been that impressed by his defense. He's ok and yeah I know he's an all star and gold glove winner. BFD.

13. Darth Hader is definitely a quality closer, though I don't think effectiveness against the White Sox is a valid metric for that.

21. 🤨 I will keep this brief. All this team cared was to win the first 2 games and just go through the motions for the last. The toughest game is to win the last game for the sweep. This team was just satisfied. I hope they will be satisfied when lot of these guys on the roster won't be back next year unless they wake up ASSAP. Nobody likes a team that doesn't give a dam and it's getting harder to like this team. I still stand by my prediction they will finish 85-77 and barely make it in. Didn't score first today like the other 2 games….HELL we didn't score at all. To lose 1-0 is unacceptable.

23. The Houston Astros knew when to get rid of Hector Neris. And in Craig Counsell's defense, who do you replace him with?

24. Imanaga, and frankly the entire starting staff deserve better. This is just sad and pathetic. How do you not get more than 2 hits and 0 walks of a pedestrian pitcher? Counsell is the reason. This team has no direction, no energy and their manager is just a bystander. I was screaming last year when they hired this wet noodle. Ross was not the problem. Now?…You are seeing that THE ONLY BIG CHANGE WAS TO HAND A BUNCH OF MONEY TO A MANAGER WITHOUT ADDRESSING THE CLUBHOUSE. Mind boggling.

29. Cubs did not get a closer only because they are not one player away from contending! And they want Craig to evaluate the roster before making big long term commitment. They will go all in when the time comes, when the young talents showing results which takes 3-5 years in a rebuilding process. If you push the rebuilding immaturely, you end up with constant retooling!!!
