How about some fucking accountability? Holmes should be told he’s exclusively pitching the 7th until he can show that he deserves to be used in high leverage situations.

10 blown saves on the season. If Holmes closes on half of them (which still sucks) we have a 6-game lead in the East… When does he not become a 9th inning option? 15-blown saves? 20?

I think he’s blown more saves than actually converting them in the past few weeks. I don’t understand how Boone still has faith in him. Terrible. He blows the game on national tv in front of a bunch of little leaguers. At least the kids learned something, don’t be like Holmes.

People talk about how unlucky Clay Holmes is with soft contact, but nobody talks about how unlucky Yankee fans are to have to watch him as closer
The pain in this is seeing Aroldis out there finding his stuff again and King dealing in SD. I live in southern California, so I’ve seen the Dodgers fans have to deal with the Jansen stuff the last couple of years he was there, I get the same feeling they used to get. I see Holmes come in and immediately think, “Don’t fuck this up…”
